Hope Hoops Pro2 Evo SP MTB Front Wheel: The all new Pro2 EVO SP hub now sits in the range to run alongside the standard Pro2 EVO and gives riders the option of a straight pull design, but with a conventional 32 hole drilling. All features and specifications of the standard Pro2 EVO remain (axle options, rims etc)- giving lots of choice at every level. The wheels are built and hand finished in Hope's Barnoldswick factory using either Sapim Race or Sprint spokes (dependant on rim used) and Sapim Brass Polyax nipples. The 3 XC rims (XR400, CREST, 717) all come as QR wheels with the fronts having a 15mm conversion in the box and the remaining rims come as QR, but this time with a 20mm conversion in the box. Wheels are packaged in purpose made wheel boxes to avoid damage in transportation. To achieve the sort of competitive weights required for racing and performance riding, weight has been taken from the hub and rotor – instead of using fragile, overlight components in the rim and spokes. The resulting wheel is a perfect mix of strength to weight, which has already been taken to many race wins, including the National Championship Title – and is the wheel of choice for our very own XC racer Paul Oldham, Scott UK's Nick Craig and Stu Bowers and Lapierre rider Will Longden. These are lightweight XC and race orientated wheels. Hope suggest a rider weight limit og 85kg. This is only a guideline, but common sense should be used with regards to the type of riding they will be used for. Rim choice is again available in this wheelset. DT Swiss 4.2 or No Tubes Crest – and for 2009 Hope are building and hand finishing in the Barnoldswick factory using Sapim Sprint double butted spokes and brass nipples. The No Tubes Crest offers the rider the choice of running tubeless as well as a superlight overall weight. The DT Swiss 4.2 gives excellent all round XC performance with a proven lightweight, high quality rim. Both options are in 24 hole drilling. These are lightweght XC and race orientated wheels. Hope suggest a rider weight limit of 85kg. This is only a guideline, but common sense should be used with regards to the type of riding they will be used for. The super light straight pull hubs run on the same stainless steel bearings used in the SP-XC3 and have the same axle options (QR and 15mm front and QR rear).
